Bio.
My name is Maddy Caspar and I am a student at Sierra College and Cosumnes River College. I plan on transferring to a 4 or 5 year program for a degree in Architecture. in 2026. I am a student athlete at Sierra College as I am on the Women's Golf Team and was nominated for female scholar athlete of the year in 2025. I have always been interested in art and creation throughout my life and taken many classes that encourage creativity, teach the fundamentals of design, and color theory. I have been interested in architecture ever since my Uncle told me stories about his career in architect in the Sacramento area over Christmas dinner. I have been taking general education, higher mathematics, and physics courses the past 2 years at Sierra. I been taking architecture classes at Cosumnes because they have an amazing transfer program and course selection, to prepare for transferring next year. I have learned many things about the history of Modern architecture, the reality of the profession, requirements to get licensed, AutoCAD digital drafting skills, and the fundamentals of designing and drafting residential housing and regulations that need to be followed. The AutoCAD skills and other digital drafting skills are what I was most excited to learn and continue to grow my knowledge in as I continue my studies. My goal for the next 5 to 10 years is to get my bachelor's degree and potentially an accredited master's as well. I hope to inter for a local firm summer 2025 or 2026 and get experience in the field. My main goal is to become a licensed architect and have a full time job in commercial architecture but I am always open the plan changing as I learn, grow, and experience new things.
Spotlighted Design

DES20 CITE PLAN
This design was one of my first drafting project's. I am extremely proud at the proficiency and ease that I am able to use AutoCAD after taking DES20. The cite plan was the first step we took in this design journey and process and I have grown so much over the semester. I feel more confidence and freedom in drafting and design process after taking slow steps forward. Now I look back and have already completed projects I never thought possible.
